I’m originally from Cochrane, Alberta and have always had a passion for design. With an innate eye to beautify spaces. I began my journey in Europe and attended Fachhochschule. After my return to Canada I gained valuable experience working with a home builder in a design centre, at a flooring store and then with a home builder as showhome designer and customer liaison. In 2003 I founded Debutante Design – at home on my kitchen table, and it grew bit by bit through passion, determination and hard work.
My work reflects a balance of all my design and life experiences, influenced by the spaces traveled to. My design skills range from clean contemporary to classic paneled traditional and everything in between. I often get asked by my clients, “What’s your favourite project?” and my answer is always the one I’m currently working on. I believe that good design should be a seamless continuation of the clients likes, wants, and needs.
Over the years I have built valuable relationships with prominent Home Builders and trade supplier partners. My passion for design and colour continues to drive new challenges, and my team and I are continually learning and growing.
Debutante Design is an affordable residential interior design firm that honours the purpose, comfort, and beauty of your home. Fifteen years later, I’ve confirmed to myself that each project is unique, and my passion has grown.

Ashley Balint
SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER
Born and raised in Canmore, Ashley’s fascination with design was influenced by her surroundings at a young age. Her design philosophy is that a person’s interior surroundings should evoke positive emotion. She enjoys curating spaces that encourage feelings of peace, joy, and excitement for her clients and believes a person’s interior should reflect their personality.
Ashley received her Bachelor of Applied Interior Design Degree at Mount Royal, and since has gained experience over the years working with clients in every aspect of interior design including renovations, new homes, showhomes and decorating.
As a new mom, she enjoys down time spent with her son and husband as well as travelling, yoga and catching up with family and friends over a glass of red wine.

Nicole Bowerman
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Nicole grew up an Alberta girl, living both the small-town life and the big city life. She has lived in both Calgary and Edmonton but will always remain a Flames fan. While in Edmonton she attended Grant MacEwan university where she majored in Visual Communication. After she married her husband, they moved to Toronto for 4 years and had great adventures. They have since relocated back to Alberta where they have been ever since.
She has a wide range of experience, from retail store operations, merchandising, buying, training, and sales. The underlying theme is always “creativity”. She is always challenging herself to seek new opportunities that provide adventure and new knowledge. One of her greatest passions is creating order out of chaos. Operations in an interior design firm is a great fit for her, allowing her to be part of the creativity while lending her organization skill set to help keep the train on the track.
In her spare time, you will find her knitting, refinishing furniture, reading, travelling, playing with her dogs, and convincing her husband they should have more dogs.

Growing up in the prairies around Medicine Hat, she found an innate beauty in simplicity. Upon graduating Interior Design with Honours from Lakeland College, she moved to Calgary and started with a small commercial design firm, then a large homebuilder designing homes, working with clients, and decorating showhomes.
Being a mother of two girls, she sees design in a different ways. She studied Feng Shui at Mount Royal to learn the energetic qualities of a home. While working independently, she staged and organized family homes, complete renovations, and gained an appreciation for working with what you have. Being an organizational guru with two decades of experience, Caroline has advanced layout experience, attention to detail and drafting proficiency. She wears many creative hats, merging the technical with ingenuity.
Now an avid traveller, design is all around us, inspiration is everywhere.

Upon graduating from S.A.I.T. in 2003, with a diploma in Architectural Technologies, Elisa worked for Calgary based home builder Albi Homes for two years. In this time, she created acustom showhome which was nominated fro a SAM Award, developed new product and effectively worked with customer liaisons to create full working drawings for clients.
From there, Elisa decided to move to a new small volume custom home builder called Vintage Fine Homes, where she spent two and a half valuable years. During her employment, she worked with the sales team and clients to develop custom homes in new and inner-city communities and created and developed new product whil working closely with trades and developers.
A short time after, Elisa worked for a developer now known as Brookfield Residential where she worked as an Architecthural Coordinator. Here, she approved all Architectural Controls such as elevations, plot plans and exterior schedules and ensured guidelines were followed by ome builders in all communities.
Elisa soon missed the creativity of designing and took a position of Residential Designer at Baywest Homes. She spent two years working with customer drawings and helping develop and improve new and old product. She also updated working drawings and drawing layouts so that they are better received in the field and by customers.
A sudden job opportunity for her husband and a new baby on the way drove them to move to Edmonton. The move aprked her to take a leap and do something she’d always yearned to do and apply her knowledge and skills towards her own company.
Elisa has been successfully operating Humble Home Design for over then years where she can be more diverse and work with homebuilders of any size, renovation companies and even independent homeowners.
In January 2023, Elisa joined the talented Debutante Design team, where she is enjoying a wide range of projects including drawing homeowner interior details, exterior renderings, and creating full working drawings for new builds and renovations.
It’s safe to say, Elisa loves her job and creating houses and spaces that people can be proud to call home.
